Attorney Amelia M. Ravelo, Esq. is an experienced litigator and former prosecutor with a strong track record in both criminal and civil litigation. Known for her courtroom skill, strategic mindset, and client-centered approach, she has built a reputation as a fearless advocate for individuals facing powerful systems. A proud Cuban-American and Miami native, Amelia brings deep roots and a personal commitment to the community she serves.

Amelia began her legal career at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases from arraignment through trial. This experience gave her unmatched courtroom exposure early in her career and taught her how to build and present strong cases under pressure.

She later joined a well-respected national law firm, where she primarily focused on insurance defense in high-stakes civil litigation. There, she gained critical insight into how insurance companies assess, negotiate, and defend claims. Determined to use that knowledge for good, Amelia founded Ravelo Law Firm to stand up for people—not corporations.  Today, she focuses her practice on personal injury, property insurance claims, and criminal defense, bringing both empathy and relentless advocacy to every case.

Amelia earned a full merit scholarship to Florida International University’s Honors College, where she majored in Finance with a pre-law focus. She then attended the University of Miami School of Law on a merit-based scholarship and quickly distinguished herself in trial advocacy. She was awarded the prestigious Marco Vazquez Scholarship for excellence in trial skills, received honors in litigation and trial courses, and earned a coveted spot on the school’s Trial Team. She also served as a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review, sharpening her legal writing and analytical skills.

She is committed to making sure her clients are heard, respected, and fiercely represented—every step of the way. Amelia is fluent in Spanish and in her free time loves traveling, attending local workout classes, and spending time with her husband, Daniel, a fellow attorney, and her beloved dachshund Sterling.
